Navigating the Complexities of Regenerative Medicine
Dr. Thompson is a General Surgeon who’s professional experience has led her to become a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the breast, breast cancer being one of the biggest threat to the well-being of women, their families, and our communities.
At heart, Dr. Thompson is a primary care physician who ascribes to the philosophy that we each do all that we can to manage and optimize our lives before we call on the healthcare industry to do for us what we best would do for ourselves.
Dr. Thompson lives by two mottos: 1) Treat others as they would wish to be treated, and 2) Life happens. What matters dis how we handle it. Her intent is to handle life wisely and well.
Dr. Thompson value honesty, simplicity, and the wishes of her patients
Her medical degree was received from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, trained for 6 years in General Surgery at The James H. Quicken School of Medicine at East Tennessee State University, and has spent the entirety of her career serving New Braunfels and the surrounding area. She is a devoted mother and wife and maintains activity by helping care for a small ranch with horses, dogs, and one cat, “Barn Kitty.”
Dr. Thompson has been an active member of the physician and patient advocacy movement since 2014. She is currently the Chairman of the Board of Practicing Physicians of America.
Dr. Thompson has been transitioning into the realm of physician as “medical advisor.” This transition also includes a focus on regenerative medicine.
Regenerative medicine is about helping the body heal itself. The way most doctors use regenerative medicine is from a “poke and hope” perspective. Dr. Thompson, however, adheres to the concept of regenerative health management, which is the active, on-going process of helping the body heal itself.
Unfortunately, improving one’s quality of life is not often an easy task. However, as both a physician and medical advisor, Dr. Thompson develops and implements a health and treatment that is specific to each individual.
Through a medical advisory, relationship-driven approach that considers the whole person, Dr. Thompson helps patients become long-term clients, as they focus on achieving a better quality of life, regardless of the person’s starting point.
